Wine Buying-One of my rants
Anybody (who is of legal age) can go into a wine shop grab something off the shelves and buy a bottle of wine. The larger, mass market brands make this VERY easy for you. Well known brands are located in the best spots in the store so they are easy to find, they have large informative displays, and they advertise (tell you) that they are a great buy (not always true). If you think about it, the more they are spending on banners, point of purchase displays, marketing materials, etc. the more they have to charge, or the less money they are putting into quality of product.
I have found MUCH better values on smaller, little known producers who do not need to advertise. I will share my finds on this site. Please do the same.
