Tolerant Taster- About Me
My passion for wine started with a trip to Italy planned around the Chianti Wine Festival, Rassegne del Chianti Classico, which takes place once, every year, in Greve-in-Chianti to celebrate the wine harvest. We started in Florence, travelled the Chianti Road (s222), and visited the famous wine regions of Chianti, Chianti Classico, Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Gimignano…
We shared experiences with passionate Italians and we learned to slow down. Throughout the trip, we enjoyed delicious food and wine, made with ridiculously fresh, local ingredients. I returned from the trip enlightened, and wanting to know more.
I started learning by reading and taking courses on all things wine- different wine regions, wine making, wine styles, grape varietals, as well as tasting, pouring, and food pairing. In July I received my Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) degree from the Society of Wine Educators.
Always open to comments and contributions, I am happy to continue my learning while passing along free, and hopefully valuable, information. There are so many resources available today and I believe that a knowledgeable drinker is a better (happier) consumer.
Let me know what you don’t like about your wine….
I am glad to help.
